The Sourcing Manager is critical to the evolution of ARMI into a GMP manufacturing organization. In this role, you will support the current Process Development Operations, create and build your team, and support the construction of a new 100,000 sqft GMP CMO manufacturing facility. This role will also be actively involved in the role out of Rockwell's PharmaSuite MES and a new ERP implementation. Reporting to BioFabUSA's Senior Director of Operations, you will contribute to the operational success of a high-performing Laboratory Support team and a CMO team.


You're Role

  • Assess current procurement processes and develop recommendations to optimize them.
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop a long-term strategy for ARMI Procurement.
  • Develop and execute a time & phase appropriate procurement organizational structure to ensure a high-performing Supply Chain.
  • Lead and support all procurement activities related to the brownfield build of a 100,000 sqft CMO, including construction contractor negotiations and fit-out.
  • Tactically support the current Process Development organization through Purchase Order placement, Service Contract negotiations, and vendor management until the team is further developed.
  • Participate in Root Cause Investigations as they relate to raw materials and develop a team to manage SCARS.
  • Foster and promote innovative solutions that drive cost reduction and continuous improvement of the supply chain process.
  • Develop a seamless relationship with Operations support, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams to ensure that suitable materials are used at the right time.
  • Create Sourcing KPIs to monitor the health of the sourcing organization.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the direct team on best practices in vendor management, cost reductions, and end-to-end supply chain knowledge.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience within the Life Sciences Industry.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of direct work/sourcing experience in cell therapy, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device, or other similar industries.
  • Experience with Rockwell PharmaSuite MES, ERP Implementation (Procurement focus) preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing Sourcing professionals.
  • Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels within an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data sets and identify actionable insights.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in the CDMO business model and in GMP operations is desired.
  • Experience with facility construction preferred.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be successful and navigate shifting priorities and business needs.
