About the Role

Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a dynamic Senior Simulation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team at Eavor. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of essential software, systems, and technologies.

This hybrid role is based in Calgary, Alberta, but could require limited travel based on business needs.

Some of What you Will Do:

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to advance Eavor's technology and systems.
  • Develop physics-based models to solve complex engineering challenges related to advanced geothermal systems.
  • Participate in the creation of stable, reusable, and high-performance computational routines.
  • Ensure accurate integration of models into Eavor s proprietary software systems.
  • Produce organized and comprehensive technical documentation.

Physics Based Model Development

  • Analyze and understand physical phenomena related to key areas such as stress and structural analysis, drilling mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics.
  • Apply advanced mathematical techniques, including numerical methods, linear algebra, differential equations, and finite element analysis, to solve complex engineering problems.

Technology Development

  • Provide technical expertise in discussions with partners involved in joint technology development efforts.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical challenges in the development process.

Some of What you Will Need:

  • Experience with Python (Numpy, Scipy)
  • Strong understanding of physics aspects such as mechanics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
  • Strong mathematical skills including linear algebra and numerical methods
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • MS in a pertinent field such as Physics or Engineering
  • Willing to work in a Hybrid environment
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Preferred:

  • Expertise working with and/or developing simulation software related to stress/structural analysis, drilling mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, or electromagnetics.
  • Experience with signal processing algorithms and software.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications within energy development.
