Overview

You'll be integral part of Listed Derivative Execution Technology Production Engineering team providing support services to LD trading business interacting with FIX onboarding team, Front Office, Sales and client coverage team. You'll handle high priority incident tickets, work with members of the team and developers to resolve incidents, ensuring that affected users & management are always kept informed. You are expected to be on-call on a ROTA basis both during the week and at weekends. You'll take ownership of problem tickets that have been raised for set of applications, You'll collaborate with technology partners to provide resolution for open problems or ensure that the appropriate parties have been tasked with well-defined responsibilities. What You'll Do
  • Provide SL2 technical support for electronic trading applications used by the LD business, including market connectivity, FIX for Direct Market Access, front-end trading and algo platforms, and order management systems. i.e. ownership and/or influence on production and digital assets
  • Manage and maintain UNIX applications and database servers, focusing on proactive stability management using Geneos monitoring tools
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams such as front office trading, sales, product management, and global LD technology development (onshore/offshore), as well as external clients through Ecommerce support
  • Manage and resolve high-priority incidents, working with developers and team members to ensure quick resolution. Communicate effectively with affected users and management throughout the incident lifecycle. Participate in on-call support on a ROTA basis, including weekends
  • Own problem management for specific applications, ensuring problem tickets are tracked, followed up, and resolved while collaborating with technology partners to drive resolution or allocate responsibilities to the appropriate teams for open issues
  • Drive continual service improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement within regional and global support models
Skills You'll Need
  • Technical experience in a front office Information Technology (IT) role with hands on knowledge of Unix/Linux (RedHat preferred) and scripting in Bash, Perl and/or Python
  • Database skills with Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL) querying and basic networking
  • Electronic Trading experience with trading protocols (e.g. FIX), market data protocols will be a strong plus
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and ITRS Geneos a plus
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification / work experience is a required

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville or New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $60,000.00 to $86,000.00 and New York City is $85,000.00 to $120,750.00. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
