What You'll Do:
You ll take the lead in designing, implementing, securing, and supporting our systems infrastructure while working closely with the IT Director and collaborating with a talented IT team. You ll own the execution of exciting projects, including cloud migrations, cybersecurity policies, infrastructure upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives. You ll also provide mentorship to engineers and systems admins, guiding them to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as the highest point of escalation within the team, and mentor junior engineers.
- Lead & Innovate: Design architecture for virtualization, backup & DR, networking, Active Directory, and other Microsoft-centric technologies.
- Virtualization & SaaS Management: Architect and develop strategies for server virtualization, network configurations, backup management, and technology Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Solve Critical Problems: Identify hardware and software failures, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain Security Excellence: Ensure industry best practices are in place for endpoint protection, server OS hardening, firewall policy design, and more.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside Software Engineering to automate tasks, deploy VMs, and contribute to key technology initiatives.
- 24/7 Support: Be part of a support rotation to ensure the high availability and resilience of servers and infrastructure.
- Plan & Execute: Develop project plans and communicate progress effectively to managers and stakeholders.
What You Bring:
- Extensive Experience: 8+ years of experience in managing enterprise-level systems from on-premise infrastructure to public cloud.
- Technical Mastery: Hands-on with VMWare, VSAN, SAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, network switches, Microsoft365 administration, and phone systems.
- Scripting Savvy: Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation, as well as knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with cloud architectures (Azure VMs, VMware), storage solutions, and enterprise backup tools.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: A solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices across various domains.
- Certifications That Shine: Preferably certified in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft365, VMware, ITIL v3 Foundations, and others.

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
