Remedy is excited to partner with a very well-established global manufacturer in the greater Fulton/Oswego, NY area as they look to fill a critical Controls Engineer role. This Controls Engineer will play an integral role in the design of controls systems and components for production machinery. Here are some important details:

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Shift: Days

Pay: $65,000k - $90,000k/yr

Here is what you will be responsible for as their Controls Engineer:

  • Control System design for custom manufacturing machinery including electrical schematics, control panel layouts and BOMs, following customer spec
  • Responsible for multiple engineering sections throughout the project life cycle
  • Works under the guidance of the Sr. Project Engineer on hardware and software design related tasks
  • Coordinate/integrate aspects of the work of other design engineers as part of the broader project team and scope
  • Drive commonality, design for manufacturing, and implement best practices.
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve quality issues as they occur.
  • Provide support for assembly, purchasing and field service.
  • Participate in project design reviews, production and customer meetings.
  • Travel for customer visits, vendor meetings, and start-up s as required.

We're looking for Controls Engineers with the following background profile/skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of controls and electrical systems design experience with industrial automation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Strong awareness of ISO quality management systems/procedures
  • Experience with variable frequency drives and servo drive applications.
  • Knowledge of AB ControlLogix, and/or Siemens S7 PLC platforms, HMI programming using SCADA systems and experience designing systems to meet NFPA, UL, CSA and CE conformance are all super helpful!
