Shift/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, First Shift 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $19-$22 /hr DOE
Location: Atlanta - 30326
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in technical support or helpdesk roles

We are excited to share a new opportunity for a Level 1 Tech Support Professional located in Atlanta, GA ! This role involves handling daily support requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with projects like Windows 11 updates, antivirus system changes, and Microsoft Office upgrades. The successful candidate will also be responsible for computer setup and decommissioning, inventory management, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 Technical Support:
    • Respond to and resolve support tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
    • Offer basic support for software applications, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
  • System and Software Upgrades:
    • Assist in deploying Windows 11 updates, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
    • Support antivirus system changes and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
    • Aid in the rollout of Microsoft Office upgrades across the organization.
  • Computer Setup and Decommissioning:
    • Set up new computers and peripherals for employees, ensuring proper configuration and security settings.
    • Decommission outdated hardware following the organization's protocols for data security.
  • Daily Operations:
    • Monitor and prioritize support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
    • Provide technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, and in-person support.
    • Escalate complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support when necessary.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory.
    • Track equipment deployment, returns, and disposal in line with company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.
    • Create and update knowledge base articles to assist with common issues.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in IT or related field preferred).
    • CompTIA A+ certification required.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in technical support or helpdesk roles.
    • Familiarity with Windows OS (including Windows 10 and 11), Microsoft Office, and common antivirus software.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
