Position Overview:

As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will lead the financial close process and ensure compliance with accounting standards while working with cross-functional teams to drive the financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP, currency exchange, and a background in fintech or similar high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  • Lead the financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Manage international currency exchange transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial strategy and support business objectives.
  • Manage SAP financial modules and ensure the system is optimized for efficiency and reporting.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business growth.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions, including foreign exchange risk management.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and regulatory changes, providing insights to senior management on financial impacts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a controller capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP financial systems and modules.
  • Experience with currency exchange, including multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange risk management.
  • Expertise in GAAP/IFRS and financial statement preparation.
  • Prior experience in a fintech or fast-paced technology-driven environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to implement financial controls, drive process improvements, and lead financial teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
