Work Location: Atlanta, GA, (Onsite role, Hybrid but must report to the office weekly.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Community, Engagement, & Health, Coordinator will be pivotal in supporting and expanding the Systems community engagement and community improvement initiatives
- This position will help coordinate, administer, and execute various community engagement initiatives to support Emory Healthcare community health improvement, brand positioning and marketing goals
- The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, experience with event planning and evaluation, a strong commitment to health equity, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders within both healthcare and community settings
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of community engagement and sports partnership community initiatives
- Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with participants and stakeholders
- Support the execution of community outreach and engagement activities, ensuring effective and inclusive participation
- Collaborate with team members and community partners to ensure the successful implementation of defined initiatives
- Facilitate communication and coordination among project teams, with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with health equity and/or marketing/branding goals
- Maintain organized records of program activities, participant information, and outcomes
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation related to health equity initiatives
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data related to community engagement initiatives
- Support the development of metrics and indicators to evaluate program effectiveness and impact
- Prepare data reports and summaries for internal and external dissemination
- Identify opportunities for improving program processes and outcomes and make recommendations for enhancements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Public Health, Health Administration, Community Health or related field, or 5 years of experience in health care-related organization with strong track record of accomplishment in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, community engagement, administration, or a related role, preferably within a healthcare or community setting
- Experience working with diverse populations and a strong commitment to health equity
- Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, or other language is encouraged
- Candidate must be available to work occasional nights and weekends
