Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and manage a large Supply Chain project. The PMO Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, project management oversight, and overall support to ensure the successful delivery of a new Factory in Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the project management office including processes, tools, and templates.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and MS Projects and ensure that all project stakeholders are informed of progress against these plans.
- Monitor and report on project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure that appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
- Work collaboratively with internal functions including engineering, finance, IT, and supply chain teams
- Monitor the performance and compliance of the 3PL partner.
- Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project, escalating, presenting and structuring these in clear presentations to the project leadership team
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across the project team with strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to clearly structure and present info
- Manage project finances, including budget tracking and forecasting, and ensure that project costs are managed within budget.
- Maintain a risk register and proactively address emerging risks.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and project closure documents.
- Ensure that project governance processes are followed, including project stage-gate reviews, change control, and issue management.
- Provide regular project status updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in new warehouse startups.
- Knowledge of food industry, plant-based and/or dairy, and operations is an advantage.
- Experience managing project management offices (PMOs) and implementing project management processes, tools, and templates.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- General knowledge of construction and warehouse building processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of time
