Software Engineering Manager

Are you ready to lead a team of tech wizards into the future of software development? We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager who can guide our client's talented team through the creation of innovative software solutions. You'll be the captain of a dynamic team, ensuring that our software architecture is robust, scalable, and ahead of the curve.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the design and development of all software products, enhancing both airborne and ground automation capabilities.

  • Develop the technical roadmap, integrating all software components for optimal performance.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure your team is equipped with top talent to meet program requirements.

  • Proactively identify program risks and opportunities, devising strategies to keep us on the leading edge.

  • Support systems and test engineering teams, contributing to program objectives through hands-on testing and data analysis.

  • Participate in flight test and mission operations, guaranteeing flawless software performance.

What you need:

  • Proven experience in managing teams and projects with a can-do attitude, especially under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity and understanding across all levels.

  • A background in developing high-reliability software in an agile environment.

  • Proficiency with desktop Linux and embedded Linux systems.

  • Leadership abilities that motivate and drive your team to excellence.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in full-stack web development, showcasing your versatility in tech.

  • Expertise in designing complex distributed systems for a seamless network experience.

  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Bash scripting the tools of the modern developer.

  • Familiarity with model-based software design, emphasizing structured and efficient development.

Education/Years of Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required, with a Master s degree being highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, reflecting a seasoned understanding of the industry.

Where You Will Work: You'll be based in the greater Albuquerque area, a hub of innovation and clear skies.

Salary Range: $150k-$200k
