Job Title: Due Diligence Manager - Homebuilding
Location: Portland, OR
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
The Due Diligence Manager will play a critical role in evaluating potential land acquisition opportunities and managing the due diligence process for our residential development projects. This individual will be responsible for assessing risk, conducting feasibility studies, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that properties meet legal, environmental, and financial criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the due diligence process for land acquisitions, from initial evaluation through to closing.
  • Review property titles, zoning regulations, environmental reports, and utility access.
  • Coordinate site surveys, environmental assessments, and legal reviews to identify potential risks and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including land acquisition, planning, engineering, and legal, to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Analyze financials, pro formas, and development costs to assess the profitability of potential projects.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and documentation to ensure all due diligence processes are completed efficiently.
  • Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and city officials to gather critical project information.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on land acquisitions and development progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in land acquisition, due diligence, or real estate development, preferably in the homebuilding industry.
  • Strong understanding of zoning laws, land use regulations, environmental regulations, and real estate finance.
  • Proven experience conducting property assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses.
  • Knowledge of Portland-area real estate market and regulatory landscape is a plus.
