Job Description

This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling accounting reports for the Finance Division and is a financial analyst for the Finance Division. Responsibilities include budget development for grant programs, reimbursement processing, and grant management of water infrastructure programs. Incumbent also is the point of contact for invoice processing for the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget’s information technology monthly invoice.

Position Description

The work location of this position will be Constitution Hall in Lansing, MI. However, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person). Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.

Required Education And Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting, finance, and economic courses.

Experience

Financial Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Financial Analyst 10

One year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst 9.

Financial Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10.
