  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

If you are a commercial HVAC technician and you would like to start a career as a building automation technician, I am interested in talking with you.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS) and associated devices
  • Ability to perform (BAS) service calls with little or no support
  • Strong customer skills
  • Perform calibration of various types of building automation controls
  • Assist in developing and maintaining building automation control SOO and documentation
  • Assist in the development of building automation control programs
  • Install, program, and maintain (BAS)
  • Develop and maintain graphic user interface (GUI) of building automation system using frontend software
  • Preform (BAS) preventive maintenance including regular system backups and evaluations of systems for errors
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC maintenance, or related field experience preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in a control s technician or similar role
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Working knowledge of DDC systems such as Niagara N4, JCI, Trane, Honeywell, and/or Distech controls

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field experience
  • 5+ years experience in a control s technician or similar role
  • Certification from an accredited trade school or apprenticeship program
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of building automation systems
  • Niagara N4 certification
