Akkodis is seeking aValidation Management for a Contract job with a client in Chicago,IL (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in patching and vulnerability management, particularly with Linux/UNIX OS.
Rate Range: $47/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Validation Management job responsibilities include:
Implementing and managing best practices for patching and vulnerability remediation to protect infrastructure from security threats.
Performing OS patching and software vulnerability remediation on mission-critical applications, ensuring zero downtime.
Collaborating with application teams and engineering partners to create and update patching flow instruction documentation.
Working closely with various teams (e.g., System Administrators, Middleware, DBA) to troubleshoot and resolve issues during patching activities.
Monitoring vulnerability reports and ensuring timely remediation to maintain security compliance.
Participating in change and release management processes to ensure smooth implementation of patches and updates.
Communicating effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on remediation efforts and security status.
Working weekend and afternoon shifts as needed to support critical patching operations.
Utilizing tools like True sight (BladeLogic) and BLCli/NSH automation scripting to streamline patching and remediation processes.
Documenting processes and maintaining records of patching activities for audit and compliance purposes.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management, patching, and remediation.
Strong expertise in Linux/UNIX OS and experience with patching mission-critical applications.
Familiarity with change and release management processes and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve patching issues.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $51.00 per hour
