Akira Technologies, Inc. is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to support, implement, and maintain the SharePoint migration of the Navy's Field Support Activity (FSA)/Budget Support Office (BSO). The SharePoint Migration Administrator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of content and data from legacy systems to their cloud-based SharePoint sites. This role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, migration tools, and best practices to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption to organizational operations. This is a high-visibility role and will require strong engagement and presentation skills.

Ideal candidate should be local to the DC Metro area to support onsite delivery at the Washington Navy Yard several days a week. The role also requires an active security clearance of Secret or higher.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint servers and sites, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions, ensuring proper access control and data security in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Regularly monitor system performance, perform diagnostics, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and enhance functionality.
  • Plan and manage the migration of SharePoint environments from legacy on-premises systems to SharePoint Online or other cloud-based platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimizing disruption.
  • Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for SharePoint environments, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, offering guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and training to enhance their productivity and efficient use of SharePoint features.

Job Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools
    • Proficient in SharePoint custom design and development of databases
    • Proficient in SharePoint document management (Including understanding how to build and manage large document libraries)
    • Proficient in building SharePoint sub sites with large libraries
  • Proficient in website scripting languages and framework.
  • Ability to develop, test, and implement enhancements to optimize SharePoint Solutions.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration.
  • Experience with managing user access and permission provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Experience with SharePoint integration with Power Automate, Power Apps, Office 365, Web parts, SharePoint apps.
  • Document current state issues and processes.

Salary Range: $73,000 to $112,000

Akira s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
