About the Role: As a Territory Business Development Manager at AquaShield, you will be at the forefront of advancing stormwater treatment solutions in the Midwest region and strive to be recognized as an influential leader in the industry within your territory. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence strategies that optimize stormwater treatment solutions in your region.

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, making informed decisions by taking calculated risks, and actively participating in collaborative problem-solving initiatives. Your sphere of influence extends to both strategic planning and hands-on execution within your territory. This involves recommending and implementing initiatives to expand our network of Manufacturer Rep Firms, or strategically building the case for the recruitment of new direct sales staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop strategic plans for 11 state territory in the Midwest region and conduct technical presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Government Regulators, Engineers, Distributors, Contractors, and end users.
  • Develop, grow, and manage the performance of external sales agents assigned in your territory.
  • Provide and promote first-hand knowledge of new developments and product trends in filtration, biofiltration, and/or separation technologies.
  • Consistently follow up on current and pending projects.
  • Provide project support for submittals, production, and product delivery during construction.
  • Maintain statistical data on prospective customers including competitor s products, quality, sales, pricing, production facilities, and limitations including marketing procedures.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the Marketing Department, content for sales tools and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition to customers.
  • Participate in defining the best approach to marketing, promotion, and sales of all AquaShield products.
  • Develop and plan policies and procedures related to storm water systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations.
  • Field technical calls with customers regarding project designs and modifications.
  • Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures gaining feedback from the field contractors/engineers.
  • Identify, manage, and convert sales opportunities in the municipal and industrial markets.
  • Develop in-depth understanding and knowledge of the market, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to effectively manage the customer base and obtain orders.
  • Identify trade shows, events, seminars and speaking opportunities in the market.
  • Develop and facilitate engaging and informative "Lunch and Learns" and other tactics to raise awareness about our brand and solutions in the territory.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related field.
  • Demonstrated sales success taking a technical consultative sales approach.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and sales skills.
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software
  • Ability to travel approximately 60%.
