Description
SAIC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Data/AI to join our Digital Innovation Factory team. This business executive will lead a robust organization chartered with supporting our enterprise Data and AI solutions across the full lifecycle from sales through delivery, inclusive of technology development. The respective team is comprised of dedicated professionals with profound expertise in digital delivery and technical domains. The team includes but is not limited to data engineers, software engineers, AI/ML practitioners, data scientists, project managers, and product leaders. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Digital Innovation Factory within the Office of the Chief Innovation Officer, this role is pivotal in advancing our strategic technology initiatives and enhancing our data-driven culture across the enterprise.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and steer the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data, and analytics ecosystem, inclusive of tracking associated sales pipeline, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring successful client delivery of the solution portfolio that cumulatively drives positive ROI.
  • Plan product strategy in response to market and client opportunities and then execute on that strategy through technology development and supporting associated go-to-market efforts around release management, packaging, pricing, and socialization to internal stakeholders, clients, and industry analysts.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and management of advanced data and analytics solutions that utilize machine learning, data science, natural language processing, and various analytics and AI methodologies to achieve impactful business results.
  • Stay apprised of industry trends and cutting-edge technological advancements to effectively prioritize and integrate contemporary and nascent technologies to facilitate new and adaptive business and operating models.
  • Forge and foster strategic internal and external partnerships and investments to enhance the company's competitive edge in digital and analytics domains.
  • Engage with different enterprise sectors to amplify and propagate targeted analytical innovations and technologies, serving as the focal point to show digital and analytics thought leadership that inspires strategic decisions and pursues relevant technologies to address business necessities.
  • Champion and orchestrate expansive transformation initiatives, leading from the appraisal of current states to the guidance on technical strategy, culminating in effective delivery and deployment.
  • Broaden the scope of the organization's solutions and service offerings, focusing on innovative methodologies, capabilities, and technologies to fuel business creativity and growth.
  • Advocate for and nurture a data-driven organizational culture, accelerating the adoption and learning of AI, data, and analytics capabilities across the board.
  • Elevate engagements, operations, and user experiences across all business functions and processes by driving decisive prioritization and impactful results, ensuring continual improvement and a distinguished customer experience through measurable outcomes.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline backed by 15+ years of related professional history, with a strong preference for an advanced degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years in a leadership role, demonstrating a progression in responsibility and scope that spans the solution lifecycle from sales through development and ultimately client delivery.
  • Recognized for innovative, strategic approaches as a data-driven executive, with significant achievements in data and analytics leadership.
  • A proven track record in bringing business and technology together to develop comprehensive, integrated strategies for technology and products that propel business growth.
  • Skilled in galvanizing and directing effective cross-functional transformation programs, influencing colleagues across all echelons, up to and including the executive leadership.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, adept at distilling complex concepts into clear, engaging, and influential narratives for a diverse array of audiences.
  • Credible and persuasive in dealings with senior management and executives, both internally and in client or third-party organizations, thereby able to build consensus and cooperation seamlessly.
  • Renowned for recruiting, nurturing, and inspiring top-tier talent, both from within and external to the organization, through mentoring, coaching, and development that meets each person where they are and builds on their strengths and acumen.
  • Strong business acumen paired with keen financial insight.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
