The Lead IT Developer will determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. This position will document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. The Lead IT Developer will prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming and improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
The Lead IT Developer will gather required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing and approving products.
The Lead IT Developer will mentor and provide directions to a team of developers as needed.

Primary Job Functions
Mentor and guide the WMS integration team, providing technical direction and ensuring best practices.
Work closely with the WMS application development team, integration team, business analysts, and stakeholders to integrate APIs seamlessly.
Lead the design, development, code reviews, and maintenance of APIs.
Optimize APIs for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
Extensive experience with Git for version control, including branching, merging and pull requests.
Meet programming standards by following best industry practices, identifying work process improvements, and implementing new technology.
Develop logical sequences, prepare flowcharts, and research solutions.
Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required to meet business and senior leaders during major project kick-offs and deployments.

Required Qualification
Bachelor's or associate's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
10+ years of experience in software development and services.
5+ years of hands-on experience in API development and integration.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in software design, coding standards, code reviews, and best practices.
Extensive experience with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
Experience with agile methodologies, including scrum.

Preferred Qualification
5+ years of experience with Microsoft-based technologies and software platforms such as C#, .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET in Visual Studio (2008/2010/2012/2017/2019) with .NET Framework (3.5/4.0/4.5).5+ years of experience in creating web services, windows services, and REST based services as needed for application projects.
5+ years of experience in creating web services, windows services, and REST-based services.
5+ years of experience in creating stored procedures, views, functions, and jobs using Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2012/2019).

Desired Qualification
3-5 years of experience in enhancing and supporting HighJump (Koerber) WMS applications.
Experience with T-SQL performance tuning is a plus.
