Job Details



The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate law, with a particular emphasis on land use and zoning matters. Litigation background a plus. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects for a diverse clientele, including developers, landowners, and businesses.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development projects.
Handle complex land use and zoning matters, including subdivisions, rezoning applications, variances, conditional use permits, and appeals.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies.
Draft and negotiate a variety of real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
Represent clients in administrative hearings, zoning board meetings, and litigation as needed.
Stay current on relevant real estate, land use, and zoning laws and regulations.
Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide seamless client service.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the NY bar.
4+ years of experience practicing real estate law with a focus on land use and zoning.
Demonstrated expertise in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
