Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing quality engineering, supplier quality, QMS IATF, control, assurance, product quality, and management practices on a daily basis in Findlay, OH.

Qualifications

  • APQP Experience
  • Product Quality and Quality Management expertise
  • Heavy on Supplier Quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, APQP, and supply chain, to achieve the highest quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience in Lean/6Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer scorecards including scrap analysis and problem solving
  • Conduct audits and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct warranty analysis.
  • Manage scrap reporting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

  • Design and execute tests to assess product reliability.
  • Plex Software experience
  • Develop quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify trends.
  • Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards based on data-driven insights.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:

  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
  • Provide technical support to production teams in problem-solving and corrective action implementation.
  • Utilize advanced problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, 8D methodology, DMAIC, and Red X Methodologies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Quality Engineering experience in the automotive industry.
  • Lead Auditor Certification in quality system auditing such as IATF 16949 and ISO/TS 16949.
  • Experience with Supplier Auditing.
  • General MS Office skills, including MS Word; proficiency in Excel, Formulas, PowerBi, and PowerPoint.

SALARY: $60,000-$80,000
