Position Overview

The primary role of IT Administrator is to oversee and maintain all aspects of a Community Corps computer infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers and security programs and systems. The IT Administrator will manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems, and assess viruses and potential threats to a company s network. IT Administrator might also monitor the use of email, create and change passwords, make suggestions for improvements to computer systems, backup data and perform data recovery if needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation rate is $85,000 - 115,000 per year. The IT Administrator is eligible for the following benefits:

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Fully support, configure, and maintain corporate network
  • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
  • Keep an eye out for needed updates
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Resolve problems reported by end users
  • Define network policies and procedures
  • Upgrade existing hardware and software programs.
  • Specify system requirements and design solutions
  • Research and make recommendations on server system administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot Hardware and Software issues at our properties
  • Other Duties as assigned

Skills

  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and hard worker
  • Ability to work independently
  • Assess existing network servers, operating systems and security programs.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016
  • Experience with Active Directory management
  • Manage data backup and retrieval processes.
  • Troubleshoot problems with systems and programs.

Education and Experience

  • 4 Year Bachelor s Degree information technology, computer science, information security or related areas
  • Professional network and other computer certifications preferred.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant job experience preferred

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit and use office equipment and computers for the majority of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

The essential responsibilities of this position are performed in a busy office environment. This position must be able to keep focused in an environment with many interruptions and distractions.

Travel Requirements

Occasional car travel, primarily in Santa Monica to visit properties in the Community Corp. portfolio.
