Required:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
- BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
- 8 Years of Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
- 8 Years of Experience with two or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle)
- 8 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
- 8 Years of Experience with systems development in an Agile environment
- 8 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration
- 8 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration
- 5 Years of Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
- Solution Architect Certification, or equivalent, in at least two clouds (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Oracle)
- 5 Years of Experience working in a client facing or consultative architecture role
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Azure
- Located in Washington DC Metro Area
Preferred:
- MS Degree in an IT-related field

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred
- Experience with scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
- Experience with automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Experience working in a Health Science Program
Overview
As aCloud Architect, you will work within our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud migration, cloud optimization and cloud deployment. We are looking for candidates with 8-10 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code and confirmation management automation. Responsibilities include:
Contributions
- Identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the customer
- Design cloud environmentsand demonstrate technical cloud architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA, and development of cloud infrastructures running in 247 environments
- Implement and oversee cloud strategies includemigrations andoptimization
- Establishingdevelopment tools and infrastructure for automation
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Automate and improve development, testing, deployment,and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Perform root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical components
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and fixes
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
- Supportenterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure throughinfrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
- Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
- Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems
- Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members
- Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
- Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
