Education/Training: Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a high school education plus 2 years of formal technical training in electricity or electronics.
Experience: Work requires a working knowledge of control systems normally acquired through 2 years of experience in the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems. Experience with Siemens Apogee Building Control System a plus OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of HVAC equipment and Siemens Insight/ Desigo Control system.

Perform calibration, troubleshooting, monitoring, analysis, maintenance and repair of a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to achieve better Utility Plant and Building system effectiveness and efficiency; provide technical guidance and direction to other employees; oversee and direct contractors.
Work Performed
- Monitor and calibrate building (Siemens Apogee/Desigo) control systems to achieve better operation and energy efficiency.
- Develop and schedule reports on Siemens Apogee/Desigo Control system.
- Survey areas and update control graphics as needed on all control systems.
- Troubleshoot control systems problems, determine cause of malfunction or systems failure, advise others of appropriate corrective action.
- Carry out approved maintenance and repair duties in accordance with instructions and maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to lower-level employees and other mechanics in troubleshooting and/or repair procedures. Train new personnel.
- Review existing Siemens Apogee/Desigo control programs and modify as required.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Perform AHU and Water system end to end verification to ensure proper working order and correct database. Create follow up work orders as needed.
