Job Description:

Parsons and IPKPower Division have a unique growth opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Leader working with its Enterprise Platform Software Solutions Team.

The QA Leader will oversee the entire quality assurance function within the software development projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions. This role involves in implementing new best practices, collaborating with development and product teams to ensure the goal of customer satisfaction is fulfilled. The software QA Leader will play a role in defining testing strategies for both application and project implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute testing plans for projects and software. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Ensure all testing is completed in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor and manage the defect life cycle, ensuring the issues are tracked and prioritized and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Development of scripts for automated testing.
  • Help and also build standards for documenting product testing.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with typically 2+ years of related professional experience
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Solid knowledge with c# .NET platform
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in reporting, analysis, and data mining.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems technology or software engineering

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Experience in the utility industry preferred
  • Certified Manager of Software Quality certification a plus

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
