We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, IN.

As an Associate Scientist, you will perform routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to support our research and development efforts.

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct routine data analysis to ensure analytical procedures are proceeding as expected and results are within acceptable tolerances.
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating to senior lab personnel as needed.
  • Prepare data analysis results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Assist in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution processes.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis as required.
  • Guide entry-level staff on routine procedures and support the onboarding of new staff.
  • Perform and document calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Basic knowledge of assigned technical area, systems, and procedures obtained through prior work experience.
  • Understanding of functional area and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards within the area of responsibility, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).


The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and routine/non-routine laboratory calculations.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
