Job Title: Applications Developer
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (Tentative)


Summary:
The Applications Developer will provide analytical support for the development and implementation of complex systems. This role requires expertise in client/server applications technology, involving analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation of applications. The ideal candidate should have experience with graphical user interfaces (GUI), object-oriented programming, relational databases, and cloud engineering, alongside strong problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions.
  • Develop data models and designs to source data from multiple systems.
  • Mentor technical staff in cloud technologies.
  • Assist in planning and migrating on-premises data solutions to the cloud.
  • Write ETL scripts using Oracle, Snowflake, or IICS for data transformation.
  • Document designs according to industry standards.
  • Monitor and optimize data processing and storage performance in cloud environments.
  • Provide query writing and tuning support to analysts and end users.
  • Develop shell/Python scripts for job automation.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in database development, including SQL analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse applications on AWS.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Strong skills in Oracle and Snowflake SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency in Informatica IICS and version control with GitHub.
  • Experience with large, multi-terabyte data warehouses.
  • Background in healthcare, Medicaid, or claims processing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, and system/database administration.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • AWS Cloud Certification and AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred).
  • Snowflake and Informatica IICS certifications (preferred).
