Position Overview

The Corporate Development Team at Anaqua is seeking an Associate to join its Boston-based team. This role will report to the Director, Corporate Development and will be responsible for executing against high-priority strategic and operational initiatives and evaluating organic and inorganic growth opportunities. In collaboration with the VP, Head of Corporate Development and the Director, Corporate Development, the candidate will work cross-functionally with members of Anaqua s Executive Team and other key internal and external stakeholders to manage initiatives and develop analyses, insights, and recommendations. Core responsibilities will initially focus on Anaqua s Connectivity capabilities, working closely with the VP and GM of Connectivity on scaling that element of the Anaqua business; over time, the role s mandate will broaden to cover the entire Anaqua organization.

  • Manage high priority cross-functional strategic initiatives by aligning stakeholders, creating project plans, establishing milestones, and tracking progress against stated goals;
  • Identify key operational initiatives to improve the efficiency, scalability, and quality of the Anaqua operating model by conducting root cause analysis, evaluating potential solutions, and developing recommendations;
  • Partner with departmental and functional leadership to create fact-based, data-driven business cases;
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer and partner needs;
  • Evaluate M&A targets by developing strategic rationale, creating financial models, and assessing synergies;
  • Manage M&A integration workstreams across product & engineering, sales & marketing, and operations;
  • Present findings to VP, Head of Corporate Development, VP and GM of Connectivity, the Executive Team, and other key stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Be Successful....

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting (ideally within software and IP/legal domain)
  • Ability to travel into the Boston office as needed
  • First principles thinker with strong analytical skills, including advanced financial modeling
  • Excellent project management, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and intellectual property
