You are an experienced, high-performing individual who enjoys working on a team with high standards for quality and a keen eye for detail. You enjoy a busy day working under the leadership of a lead scientist and adapt well to changing priorities. You can be flexible when the workday requires it, and you are attentive to the quality of your work while being able to balance being accountable for the work assigned to you and able to recognize and act when you need to request more information, training, or support. The person in this position will enjoy collaboration, learning, sharing knowledge and techniques, and being a supportive team member. The transition team offers a great opportunity to work with and bridge the R&D process to large scale manufacturing procedures of infectious disease assays.

Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position.

  • BSc in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Biomedical relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of POC/Rapid tests, and/or immunoassay development.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflows and work effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to interact constructively with co-workers. Excellent attention to detail, verbal & written communication skills are a must.

Job duties include.

  • Develop and test Lateral Flow Immunoassays (LFIs) to continuously improve sensitivity and specificity.
  • Coordinate between R&D and manufacturing departments to ensure manufacturing products are consistent with R&D demonstrated prototypes.
  • Routine activities include preparation of sample sets for the various tests, conducting the testing, maintaining inventory of reagents and accurate records, and assisting in data entry and writing up the study reports.
  • Supporting method transfer and qualification activities.
  • Statistical analysis of analytical/technical data.

Work environment information

  • Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment.

Wage/Benefits information

  • The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.60/per hour ($45,760 $60,008).

Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plans and Flexible Savings Account (FSA).
