Positional Overview

The Infor Workforce Management (WFM) Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HRIS projects related to the WFM system. This position demands in-depth knowledge of HR processes, project management best practices, and technical expertise with the Infor WFM platform. The Project Manager's responsibilities include ensuring a smooth implementation and ongoing administration of the WFM system, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of workforce management processes.

HR Tools and Resources:
Practical experience or familiarity with the following systems is essential, as they will be utilized:
  • Microsoft Project: For planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Jira: For task management, collaboration, and monitoring project progress.
  • Smartsheet: For project planning and resource management with a spreadsheet-like interface.
  • Microsoft Teams: For real-time communication, team collaboration, and file sharing.
  • Zoom/WebEx: For virtual meetings, training sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
  • SharePoint/Google Drive: For document storage, sharing, and collaboration on project-related files.
  • Excel: For data analysis, reporting, and creating dashboards to visualize key metrics.
  • MicroStrategy: For advanced data visualization and reporting to analyze workforce metrics and trends.
  • Confluence: For creating and managing project documentation, knowledge bases, and team wikis.
  • Microsoft Word/Google Docs: For drafting project plans, reports, and other documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure the successful implementation of WFM solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to gather requirements and align project objectives.
  • System Implementation: Lead the implementation of WFM, ensuring that the system is configured to meet organizational needs and integrated seamlessly with existing HRIS/IT systems.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure the project team is equipped with the skills and tools needed for successful implementation.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to address challenges during implementation.
  • Training and Support: Oversee end-user training and provide ongoing support for a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress and performance, providing stakeholders with regular updates and making necessary adjustments to stay on schedule.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all HRIS projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining thorough documentation of project processes and decisions.
  • Post-Implementation Review: Conduct evaluations after project completion to assess outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
  • Primary Contact for Implementation Partner: Serve as the main point of contact for the implementation partner team when information is requested.
  • Meetings with Implementation Partner: Conduct regular meetings with consultants and the project manager to review progress and address issues as needed.
Testing Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning: Develop and outline a comprehensive testing strategy and schedule.
  • Test Case Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed test cases that cover all system requirements.
  • Test Execution: Oversee test case execution, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Issue Management: Identify, document, and resolve any defects or issues encountered during testing.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding testing progress and outcomes.
  • Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of all testing activities, including plans, results, and defect logs.
  • Risk Management: Identify testing-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to users and team members on testing processes and tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review and analyze the testing process post-project to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master s degree is an advantage.
  • PMP or CAPM Certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
  • Certification or training in WFM, GHR, S3, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HRIS/IT project management, with a focus on WFM or similar systems.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale HRIS/IT implementation projects.
Skills:
  • Experience with full or partial suite implementation and/or migration of HR Payroll, WFM, or comparable software, including modules such as Payroll, Time & Attendance, Absence Management, and Scheduling.
  • Functional knowledge of North American Payroll.
  • Strong practical experience and advanced understanding of payroll and scheduling standards and procedures.
  • Proficient in project management skills and tools, with knowledge of methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with HR processes, union contracts, and best practices.
