The Importance of the Role

Sarepta is a rapidly growing and evolving organization. As the organization pushes the frontier of precision genetic medicine, there is need to assure delivery of key strategic programs and objectives across the business. Sarepta is seeking an individual who with fully developed consulting skills to build our internal consulting practice for critical corporate initiatives. This team will partner with executives across all functions of the business to deliver key corporate goals.

The successful candidate has direct and deep consulting experience with one of the major consulting houses supporting biopharma. She/he should possess a demonstrated capability to partner with executives, plan, execute, and deliver diverse corporate projects in often ambiguous circumstances.

This role is highly cross-functional. The Corporate Projects lead is charged with having a holistic view of the organization and Sarepta’s long range strategy. This role will work across the entire business from R&D, Commercial, and G&A as an embedded business partner depending on organizational needs.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

  • Act as engagement manager and sole lead for key programs assigned by the Executive Committee. Partner/embed with assigned functions to assure project delivery
  • Scope, resource, manage, and deliver key programs for the business
  • Drive projects from concept to full delivery and manage every aspect of process along the way including resource procurement, provide comprehensive data analysis and insights/recommendations to executive stakeholders
  • Creatively develop solutions or pathways that meet incredibly demanding timelines in a fast paced environment
  • Work across functions to assure flawless project delivery; mitigate issues before they arise
  • Prioritize workstreams in alignment with Executive Committee/Executive Stakeholder guidance
  • Track and report progress across each initiative including, time, resources, budget, progress
  • Present proposals, progress, and results to Executive Committee and/or the Board of Directors as needed
  • Drive process and accountabilities for creation of key, cross-functional deliverables
  • Drive execution of strategic recommendations based on status of programs and risk factors
  • Provide risk assessments and lead vetting of alternative options
  • Scale the team as needed with outside consulting support; manage external resources

More About You

  • MS/PhD in technical discipline
  • MBA highly preferred (significant business skillset a must)
  • 5 to 10 years of direct consulting experience with reputable consulting firm
  • General knowledge of Biotech/Pharma industry and drug development process, basic understanding of competition in Sarepta’s therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated program management skills and experience; project management
  • Leadership skills including direct partnership with executive leadership
  • Highly proficient presenter of complex concepts and materials
  • Ability to influence across the business
  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Must be willing to travel although routine travel is not a key component of the role (~25%)

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
