Purpose of Position:
Provides hands on support for the monitoring, maintenance, and configuration of production servers and infrastructure solutions. Evaluates the system status and performance and creates plans to ensure these systems meet company standards. Collaborates with experts from established vendors, other HAEA teams, and Headquarters to assess requirements and implement plans for new solutions and upgrades. Functions as an integrator of existing production systems and new implementations.

Provides hands on support for the monitoring, maintenance, and configuration of production servers and infrastructure solutions. Evaluates the system status and performance and creates plans to ensure these systems meet company standards. Collaborates with experts from established vendors, other HAEA teams, and Headquarters to assess requirements and implement plans for new solutions and upgrades. Functions as an integrator of existing production systems and new implementations.
Essential Functions:
- Manage projects from initial requirement stage on through completion stage, ensuring appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with other IT teams and participate in project meetings
- Perform, configure, and maintain production servers focusing on Windows and Virtual Environments
- Support the backup and clustering technology for production systems such as MES and KAPS
- Monitor and resolve production Windows & VMware server performance, health and security issues
- Install, test, maintain, deploy, configure, and update Production VMware vSphere environments, Active Directory, File, and Printer Servers
- Collaborate with IT Security Specialist to ensure security tools are functioning for production systems
- Perform backup and restores of all KaGA Advanced Production Systems (KAPS) related servers
- Maintain current inventory of all Windows and VMware assets for KAPS and MES
- Detect, diagnose and troubleshoot production server and hardware malfunctions
- Open tickets with enterprise vendors for hardware and software support
- Support MES with production lineside systems
- Collaborate with IT Security members to improve the security of production systems
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology majors preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as a production support for Windows, VMware, and Hardware
- Ability to think logically and to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to complete projects on time.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers.
- VCP - VMware Certified Professional (Preferred)
