Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in driving customer success through developer relations, hands-on engineering engagement, and customer support. In this role, you will partner with customers during on-boarding and long-term technical engagements. You will work closely with customer development teams to integrate existing and develop new systems that utilize Spacetime's orchestration APIs. . As a proactive problem solver, you will work independently and collaborate with both customers and internal teams to resolve issues, help shape the product roadmap through customer feedback, and ensure smooth release management for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement and Product Expertise:
    • Serve as the first line of defense for customers encountering issues, providing high-level troubleshooting and assistance.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and guide them toward effective solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise to customers regarding product usage, best practices, and custom integration needs.
    • Act as a liaison and trusted partner between customers and internal engineering teams to resolve complex issues and escalate bugs and influence roadmaps
  • Technical Solutions & Development:
    • Develop and maintain production-quality code to assist with customer API integrations, providing hands-on technical solutions when required.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement tools, documentation, and features to improve API usability and integration.
    • Engineer custom tooling for customers to bridge gaps between their systems and our APIs, ensuring seamless integration and enhanced functionality.
    • Work closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize and execute fixes or enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Problem Solving & Independence:
    • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues in complex API interactions and integrations independently.
    • Leverage your problem-solving skills to provide timely and effective solutions Maintain a deep understanding of the product featureset, enabling proactive support and future-proofing customer integrations.
  • Documentation & Developer Relations:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including best practices, tutorials, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Ensure that all customer-facing resources, including API documentation, are up-to-date and accessible - working with internal teams to prioritize new content development as needed
    • Gather feedback from customers and developers to shape product improvements and API enhancements.

Qualifications:
  • Practical systems and software engineering experience in product development, integration, deployment, and/or sustainment of systems for commercial and government customers
  • Experience with field testing and troubleshooting of complex software systems, preferably involving communications capabilities.
  • Proven experience in a Technical Solutions, API Integration, or Developer Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving API-related issues.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Golang, Java, C++, or Python) to support integration efforts and provide technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and handle complex issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a high-security environment with government or commercial customers.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Previous experience supporting mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
