We are seeking a Consultant, Technical, to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves leading the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions in the aerospace industry. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity that involves collaborating with various stakeholders to design efficient and value-adding business solutions.
Responsibilities:
Analyze technology industry and market trends to determine their potential use-cases and impact on the enterprise as well as on the existing technology architecture
Collaborate with business representatives, process owners, and subject matter experts from other facets of IT to contribute to the design of efficient and value-adding business solutions
Proactively review infrastructure related technology roadmaps and evaluate them against both the internal and external environment to maintain a clear technology direction
Guide technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive value-added business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met
Lead analysis of the technical environment to detect critical deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, then uses this information to recommend solutions designed for flexibility and scalability
Define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value
Maintain awareness of both business and IT strategy to ensure that technical architecture is aligned to future needs and growth
Assist with designing the governance and standards activities associated with ensuring technology architecture compliance of projects and products
Oversee and consult on technology changes, updates and implementations
Document and maintain artifacts such as architecture diagrams, policies and standards within the infrastructure space. Demonstrated experience in policy compliance and review
Proficient in design and project management
Proficiency in the implementation of strategies and consulting
Experience in metric reporting and excellent communication skills
Familiarity with network design, active directory, and cloud technologies
Adherence to best practices and verification processes
Experience in component selection, server management, and configuration management
Knowledge of protocols and operating systems
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Experience with storage and backup technologies
