A prestigious law firm based in Texas is in search of an accomplished and results-driven Litigation Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive support to a team of attorneys within a dynamic litigation practice in their downtown Dallas office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the assigned attorney(s) and the litigation group in various administrative functions.
  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors, both in person and via telephone, while directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Produce documentation through transcription, formatting, editing, and data management.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents; gather and analyze pertinent information; organize client meetings and attorney conferences.
  • Manage attorney calendars by recording court appearance dates, filing deadlines, and court-imposed obligations.
  • Communicate effectively to gather information and follow up on delegated tasks, determining when issues should be escalated to an attorney.
  • Support the submission of billable hours and reimbursements; prepare invoices and liaise with clients regarding billing matters.
  • Utilize electronic filing systems and possess knowledge of e-filing procedures.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, court personnel, and third parties to facilitate case management.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, demonstrating initiative and teamwork.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, notably Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Software.
  • Familiar with practice and case management databases (iManage) and timekeeping systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and detail-oriented capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated customer service aptitude and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is mandatory; two or four-year undergraduate degrees are preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a legal secretary in a litigation setting is required.
  • Must possess exceptional computer skills and proficiency with various software applications.
  • Willingness to work additional hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Reliability and adherence to firm policies and procedures are essential.

Compensation And Benefits
