PRISM seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) who will ensure the security and compliance of information systems within the organization. This role requires a solid technical background and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, network security, product evaluations, security implementations, and remediation efforts.
  • Assist in designing and implementing solutions to protect sensitive information.
  • Identify, evaluate, investigate, and remediate cyber and insider threats.
  • Evaluate systems and recommend security improvements.
  • Participate in the development of information system contingency plans.
  • Assess current cybersecurity levels and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • You will conduct security product evaluations and recommend appropriate technologies.
  • Perform testing and audit log reviews to evaluate security measures.
  • Participate in the accreditation process, ensuring compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other relevant standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret
  • Active CISSP certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in Information Assurance and Certification & Accreditation (C&A)
  • Experience working as an ISSO supporting federal government information systems
  • Strong understanding of ISO, NIST, and US Government standards and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, HSPD)
  • Proven experience in IT security management, engineering, and analysis
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Active DoD Top Secret
  • Experience with cloud security and cloud migration
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
