Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer/Product Manager in Kansas City, MO.
Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join one of our clients in a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Technical Software Engineer and a Product Manager. This role will act as a liaison between the client's offshore technology team and a U.S. vendor to support one of the client's products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing feature delivery, help define the product roadmap and backlog, assist with production support, and manage relationships with vendors and integrated partners.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact between the offshore technology team and the U.S.-based vendor
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with vendors and integrated partners on handling support tickets or new requirements
* Work closely with the technology team to design, develop, and maintain software components for the client's product
* Provide production support for issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective problem-solving
* Oversee the delivery of feature work, ensuring high-quality and timely releases
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product roadmap and maintain the product backlog
* Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product enhancements and prioritize features
* Ensure that product development aligns with business objectives and user needs
* Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks
* Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements
* Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and senior management
* Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in software development and product management
* Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of experience
* Proven experience in acting as a liaison between cross-functional teams
* Understands complex business and functional requirements and provides direction in technical specifications and product requirements
* Knowledge of all phases of the systems development life cycle
* Strong technical expertise in software development and product management
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Demonstrates decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work effectively with offshore teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
