- $119,800.00 To 124,800.00 Annually

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
KKCS has an exciting full-time opportunity in Los Angeles, CA, for an experienced cost engineer as a Cost/Schedule Analyst. The Cost/Schedule Analyst supports cost and scheduling activities on capital projects and develops, monitors, and analyzes cost, budget, and schedule functions for capital projects varying in complexity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports preparation of cost reduction, value engineering, risk assessment recommendations for project cost effectiveness.
- Assists in determining the scheduling sequence for design, bidding, awarding construction and professional services contracts to achieve schedule project completion.
- Supports the analysis, development of alternatives, expected outcomes to avoid potential project schedule delays.
- Assists in preparation of detailed project schedules to establish optimal contract interfaces and determines activity relationships to accurately plan project completion.
- Employs quantitative engineering models to implement performance measurement reporting, forecasting of project budget, finance, and schedule.
- Coordinates preparation of "what if" plans (sensitivity analysis) to mitigate cost overruns, schedule delays. Investigates opportunities to enhance schedule without affecting cost.
- Assists Project Management in cost reduction, value engineering, risk assessment recommendations for project cost/schedule effectiveness.
- Assists in determining scheduling sequence for all phases of engineering, construction, testing, startup to achieve schedule project completion.
- Analyzes, provides alternatives, expected outcomes to avoid potential project schedule delays, potential claims.
- Prepares, maintains detailed project schedules to establish optimal contract interfaces; determines activity relationships to accurately plan project completion.
- Prepares, reviews special studies, cost/schedule forecast, time impact analyses.
- Reviews, provides recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, construction management or business
- Three to five (3 to 5) years of project experience
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, graphics, database management, word processing software
Preferred Qualifications
- Commitment to achieving AACE International Certification is desirable.
