Job Summary:
We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI Semantic Model development, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), SQL, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Databricks, and DBT (Data Build Tool). This role is focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Power BI Semantic Model, developing complex DAX queries, and enhancing data analytics capabilities through Databricks and DBT.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and efficient Power BI Semantic Model aligned with business requirements.
Ensure the Semantic Model delivers optimal performance and enhances the user experience.
Write and optimize complex DAX queries to create calculated columns, measures, and tables.
Ensure DAX calculations are efficient and support the reporting framework requirements.
Utilize Databricks Lakehouse to manage large data volumes efficiently.
Implement data processing workflows in Azure Databricks for seamless Power BI integration.
Use DBT for data transformation and modeling within the data pipeline.
Implement custom visuals and integrate APIs to extend Power BI functionality.
Develop advanced analytics, including predictive analytics and machine learning models within Power BI.
Assist in developing interactive dashboards and reports based on the Semantic Model.
Monitor and optimize the performance of the Semantic Model, DAX queries, and data pipelines.
Qualifications:
Expertise in SQL, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Databricks, and DBT.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
Proven experience with Power BI, including Semantic Model development and DAX.
Familiarity with data visualization best practices and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
