Overview
Campett Group is a well-established commercial general contracting and construction management business in Northern New Jersey that is seeking to grow our team. We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks, assisting project managers, managing accounts payable/receivable via QuickBooks, and coordinating various office functions. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, subcontractors and customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficiency in administrative processes.
- Manage payroll activities and maintain accurate employee records.
- Plan and coordinate company events, meetings, and other activities.
- Supervise office staff and provide guidance to ensure high performance.
- Handle subcontractor and vendor management, including accounts payable/receivable, insurance compliance and maintaining relationships.
- Organize and maintain filing systems for easy access to important documents.
- Provide clerical support such as data entry, correspondence, and report generation.
- Implement office management best practices to enhance productivity.
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience
- Supervise the maintenance of office areas, equipment, and facilities
- Interact with IT, phone and building personnel as needed
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or office management is preferred.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and processes is a plus.
- Proficient in clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Experience in subcontractor and vendor management and event planning will be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
- Strong computer skills; QuickBooks, Email, Procore, Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Schedule:
- Part time- Maximum of 30 hours per week. Flexible hours Monday-Friday.

Pay:
- $20-$30 per hour
