As a Product Support Engineer III, you will be supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) customer in Saudi Arabia by providing onsite training, technical support, and troubleshooting for the two (2) RSAF King Air 350-ER aircraft, Transportable Ground Station (TGS), Fixed Ground Station (FGS), and the Mission Systems Trainer (MST). You'll assist with assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for the aforementioned systems. Your expert level technical responsibilities include the support of product troubleshooting, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with the customer/operators.

The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. ;br>
Responsibilities:

  • Provide Aircraft maintenance support in a high OPTEMPO environment, meeting or exceeding required Mission Capability (MC) rate at an overseas location
  • Interpreting manufacturer and internal manuals, drawings, technical references, and CAMPS documents
  • Maintaining with aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
  • Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Work on complex technical problems to provide solutions
  • Compliance with all Security Protocols on and in support of Aircraft Operation
  • Experience with circuits and wiring assemblies and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently
  • Perform simple tests such as continuity checks
  • Install and Integrate wiring, and termination in accordance with system requirements
  • Ability to terminate various coaxial, circular, and MIL-SPEC connectors. Have good hand eye coordination and be able to use a variety of standard hand tools including crimpers and soldering irons
  • Knowledge of proper ESD controls. Windows/Domain administration tasks.
  • Patching of product specific systems
  • Must be detail and quality oriented
  • This is a Deployed rotational position

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or typically 6 or more years of related experience
  • Comprehensive expert level understanding and experience of EO/IR VORTEXi(X), ORION-E, wideband KA SATCOM, radar, COMINT, and BLOS systems
  • Hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers
  • Communication and customer interface skills
  • Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques
  • Thorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems
  • Ability to reside outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 60 days and willing to deploy on a 60/30 rotation schedule
  • Current/valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel to Saudi Arabia
  • Ability to adapt to extreme outdoor climates and working conditions
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
  • Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization
  • Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide, and inspect the work of subordinates
