We are assisting our client with their search for a Quality Engineer to play a vital role in supporting the development and launch of Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid, 3 days/week)

Overview:
This role is tasked with overseeing the implementation of our Quality Management System, enabling successful project execution, and fostering collaboration across departments to ensure strong quality assurance practices. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role serves as an advocate for the customer, focused on exceeding quality and safety expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with project-oriented Engineering teams to guide the implementation of the AS9100D Quality Management System.
- Champion a culture of quality within all departments.
- Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement, as well as external suppliers, to establish and uphold quality standards.
- Confirm supplier activities adhere to required standards and specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and corrective actions for thorough resolution and continuous improvement.
- Track, report, and evaluate metrics to drive compliance, visibility, and ongoing quality improvements.
- Define supplier-specific quality requirements for each project and review statements of work.
- Participate in design reviews to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Represent quality in change control and material review boards, evaluating supplier waivers or deviations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering preferred).
- 5-7 years in quality assurance within the aerospace, satellite, or space industries.
- Experience with flight hardware preferred; nuclear quality assurance experience advantageous.
- Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards.
- Experience in developing processes and procedures for new quality management systems.
- Skilled in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and provide independent oversight on quality processes.
- Capable of managing multiple, cross-functional tasks concurrently.
Travel Requirement: Up to 20%
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications)
