MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE).
5-15+ years proven professional experience for buildings-related design projects.
Proven proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD.
Proven experience in Federal Civilian and/or Defense Contractor project experience.
Security Clearance.
MINIMUM JOB DUTIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Must have ability to do with no training):
Lead the mechanical design (HVAC and plumbing) on federal client projects.
Provide system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering).
Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.
Design HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems for government and institution owners.
Assist in the proposal development by estimating labor hours and developing technical delivery approaches.
Perform site surveys, existing facility assessments, client interviews and internal project charrettes.
Develop design calculations, drawings and specifications including regular coordination with other design disciplines.
Review construction submittals and provide other assistance during the construction phase of projects.
Communicate regularly with the entire project team from inception to closeout to maintain alignment of scope, schedule budget and quality.
