Job Title: Field Services Engineer

Position Summary:

We are searching for a dedicated Service Engineer to repair, install, and update all Thermo Fisher hardware and automation products under the Bioprocess Equipment & Automation division, along with consulting at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruments and equipment services, including installation, basic training, preventative maintenance, repair, and compliance services.
  • Chip into high-value service-related procedures and documents.
  • Work closely with other departments to improve customer experience.
  • Help to develop customer satisfaction through ensuring timely customer response times and problem resolution.
  • Provides up-to-date service reporting on customer activities.
  • Perform commissioning and qualification of equipment by completing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers in assigned territory.
  • Help Service Sales Representative on service orders.
  • Support product quality improvement.

Education/experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, electrical engineering, Automation, or biomedical engineering required or related graduation.
  • 2 years of related experience required
  • University degree in a technical field (physics, optics, precision mechanics, electronics, chemistry, etc.), or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
  • Identify, recommend and prioritize improvements to the customer experience, as well as internal process improvements and work with appropriate internal & external partners to implement
  • Delta V or other control software experience is a plus.
  • Outstanding teammate, who can work with counterparts and customers across the world.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with strong communication.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware and desktop application products.
  • Well oral and written English skill.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively 70% of the time
  • Valid drivers license required

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $69,000.00-$102,000.00.
