Environmental Planner - Eastern US remote

We provide environmental planning, policy, compliance, and other services to clients. We help clients achieve compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) through the preparation or review of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Environmental Assessments (EAs) for projects nationwide. We also help clients achieve compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) through the preparation of Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs). ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner to work remotely within the Eastern US. This position will support clients' NEPA compliance for conservation planning, transportation, and energy (including renewable energy) projects.

The position is based in the East with the option to work remotely or hybrid in one of our Eastern US Offices (e.g., Reston, VA; Atlanta, GA; Louisville, KY). ICF provides environmental planning, policy, permitting, and other services to clients. We prepare EISs and EAs for complex and often controversial projects nationwide, including energy, transportation, conservation planning, and other infrastructure projects and regulatory programs. We manage environmental review processes that include consultation with regulatory agencies; public involvement; analysis of environmental, cultural, socioeconomic, and other impacts. Our clients include numerous federal, state, and private companies.

You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and completing major project tasks related to the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services. An Environmental Planner works on multiple projects, interacts with all levels of staff, and will apply their academic and past work experience to a wide variety of complex projects. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is :
$59,469.00 - $101,098.00

- Supporting the project management team as a project coordinator
- Tracking action items and schedules
- Interacting with our internal multi-disciplinary project teams regarding their analyses and tasks
- Reviewing or developing the content for EAs and EISs
- Organizing meetings (preparing agendas, developing and presenting meeting content, and preparing summaries).
- Communicating with external clients, stakeholders, and agency staff
What you must have (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in natural or physical Science, public policy, economics, environmental management, or related subjects.
- 2+ years of professional work experience
What we'd like you to Have:
- 2+ years of NEPA experience
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing NEPA documents
- Experience supporting project management teams for environmental projects (e.g., NEPA)
- Experience supporting teams in developing documents and conducting consultations to comply with federal environmental regulations (e.g., Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
- Academic or professional experience in the environmental field
- Proficiency in in Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
