The Senior Solutions Director will drive business growth for the Clinical Simulations function of the Clinical Simulations and Medical Communications (CSMC) business unit. This rapidly growing functional area addresses critical study-specific issues with a unique approach to training sites, patient and study teams - virtual simulation. This role will drive awareness and growth of our solution across the global pharmaceutical, device, and biotech clinical research market while leading a high-growth sales pipeline strategy within named accounts and fostering a productive relationship within your accounts that yields continual growth.

Success is achieved by collaborating effectively across all functional areas within CSMC while providing high-quality relationship management to all prospective and contracted clients. Primary efforts will focus on prospecting, deal management, and effectively presenting the CSMC value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver measurable contributions to the sales department by engaging new clients or contacts, securing client meetings and new opportunities (RFPs)and managing all deals through to close
  • CSMC invests time and resources to identify and equip our team with qualified leads but identifying potential new business is also expected in this role
  • Track and maintain activity within our customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Support marketing initiatives, including conferences attendance, to generate market awareness of CSMC solutions and generate qualified leads
  • Coordinate information from and follow-up with diverse sources in order to develop relationships with internal and external clients
  • Keep up to date with the industry and the company offerings in order to strategically generate leads
  • Develop territory management strategies
  • Expand and build on strong client relationships
  • Maintain understanding of clinical trial execution and the clinical trial industry
  • Utilize your robust network of contacts in the clinical research operations space
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in clinical trials, at a sponsor organization and/or site ideally, that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
  • 5+ years of business development experience with track record of meeting or exceeding growth goals
  • Proven success in securing new business within the clinical research industry
  • Experience in maintaining client records
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Comfortable delivering high-quality executive presentations and supporting client hand-offs post-sale by working with the delivery team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure professional interactions
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and work independently to achieve established goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of how Emotional Intelligence impacts the success of communication
  • Present information in thought-provoking ways to make colleagues and clients think more deeply on a subject
  • Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring each part of a task is carried out according to internal and client requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Occasional travel required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field
