The role:
Capital Dynamics is seeking to hire an Analyst or Senior Analyst to provide business development and sales support to senior members of our US Business Development (“BD”) – Sales team, which leads fundraising / capital formation activities.
The sales support professional will assist with a range of activities supporting the marketing of CD’s investment products to institutional Limited Partners (“LPs”), Consultants, and third-party Wealth Management intermediaries.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, organized, and resourceful individual with strong project management capabilities.
They will ideally possess some private asset business development or investor relations experience, with proven ability to support multiple members of a sales/business development team with their relationship-building activities.
Please note this is not an Investment / transaction-related role.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with and support senior sales Directors on fundraising efforts across the entire investment platform - including calendar coordination, Limited Partners (LP) prospects research, conference marketing support, etc).
- Assist with inbound Limited Partners (LP) and Consultant requests across all strategies in a timely manner, in coordination with Product Development colleagues.
- Liaise with the Product Development team to complete RFPs / RFIs and DDQs.
- Assist with the US fund closing process for Limited Partners (i.e. managing subscription documents and liaising with Legal, Tax, and Compliance teams).
- Monitor databases (including Preqin, S&P MMD, etc.) and populate and manage the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) on an ongoing basis.
- Work with external sales support representatives to ensure meetings are within Compliance protocol (i.e., adhering to guidelines for all marketing to public pension funds).
- Prepare marketing materials (e.g., presentations, finals presentations, ad-hoc requests), alongside the PDS team.
Skills and experience:
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic background.
- Maximum of 12 to 24 months of experience at a private equity, asset management, or institutional investment consulting firm, with a focus on private assets preferred.
- Capable project and process management skills and the ability to work well with others and operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proofread own work and the work of others.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.
- SIE, Series 7 & 63 licenses are helpful, although not required; the successful candidate should be prepared to get securities licenses upon joining Capital Dynamics.
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
- Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills.
Total Comp (base and bonus) - USD 90,000 to 100,000.
