Engineering Technician

Job Summary

Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a full-time experienced Engineering Technician to join our Community Development and Planning Group in our Albuquerque, NM office.

As an Engineering Technician in the Community Development and Planning group, you would be involved in numerous tasks that would include supporting design engineering teams for building and infrastructure projects that can involve roadways; water and wastewater utility infrastructure; site development and construction plans. Job duties will also include field work to involve site data acquisition and finished project as-built verification. The Engineer Technician will have design experience within one or more software packages to support our design engineering teams.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have graduated with a high school diploma/Equivalent plus technical school or 2-year Associates degree.
• You have at least 2 years minimum experience.
• You are a self-starter with basic guidance from design engineers on construction plan production.
• You are fluent in AutoCAD Civil 3D software on site development grading and drainage plan production, pipeline alignments, and roadway alignments and grading.
• You are capable of integrating site design survey coordination and control layouts.
• You will assist engineers with project material quantities for cost purposes.
• You have knowledge and capabilities in the use of ArcGIS.
