CGI Artist (1099 Independent Contractor)

Burano Home Collective is an importer and distributor of home fashion essentials. We design, source, and manufacture everything that we sell, which allows us to deliver the best products at the best prices to our customers. We are a highly collaborative, solution-orientated team searching for someone who is willing to challenge themselves and embrace the opportunity to make meaningful contributions toward our continued growth. Our company is seeking an experienced CGI Artist as a 1099 independent contractor to work on multiple projects. As the CGI Artist, you will showcase your lighting and material/texture editing expertise in 3DsMax to create engaging lifestyle and product imagery.

Responsibilities
  • The CGI Artist applies creative, collaborative, technical and quality-control skills to high-level concepts
  • Create photo-realistic materials, lighting, and rendered images for various uses such as product catalogs, marketing, and advertisement
  • Develop and deliver renderings of photo-realistic lifestyles including architectures, props and models
  • Submit all required approved imagery to render farm and organize all final renders for efficient hand off
  • Manage your time across multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
  • Be flexible in your availability to accommodate communication with creative team members and hit project deadlines
  • Stay current on relevant CGI software (3DsMax)
Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in modeling, texturing, rendering and lighting
  • Experience with modeling and styling CGI soft goods/fabric (a plus)
  • Bachelor s degree in graphic/interior design, computer graphics/digital media or related field (preferred)
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design projects such as prop and environment modeling (required)
  • Excellent 3DsMax skills and ability to suggest solutions from creative feedback
  • Experience submitting large volumes of still imagery to a render farm
  • Proven track record of successful creative project management with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Affinity for collaboration, excellent communication and ability to action on feedback and critique
  • 3DsMax License and adequate workstation (required)
