We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, FortiNet security solutions, and Microsoft Azure. This role is critical to ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a proactive approach to system management, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration:
  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Manage advanced user and group configurations, security policies, and compliance settings.
  • Lead the implementation of enterprise-level Microsoft 365 solutions, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Implement and manage advanced security measures such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Identity Protection.

FortiNet Security Management:
  • Configure and manage FortiNet firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols to ensure robust protection against threats.
  • Design and implement network security strategies, including segmentation, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and web filtering.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, conduct risk assessments, and respond to security incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Stay current with the latest FortiNet updates, best practices, and emerging security threats.
  • Lead security audits, vulnerability assessments, and the implementation of corrective actions.

Microsoft Azure Administration:
  • Architect, deploy, and manage complex Azure environments, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage solutions, and identity management.
  • Optimize Azure resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability in alignment with business needs.
  • Implement and maintain advanced Azure Active Directory (AAD) features, including identity management, application security, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies within Azure, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.

Project Management and Leadership:
  • Lead IT projects from planning to execution, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior IT staff, providing training and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and policies.

Requirements

Qualifications

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration with significant experience in Microsoft 365, FortiNet, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing enterprise-level IT environments.

Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and advanced configuration options.
  • Deep understanding of FortiNet security products and network security best practices.
  • Proficient in managing and optimizing Azure environments, with experience in automation and cost management.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation and system management.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).

Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Fortinet NSE 5+ are highly desirable.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
