The Drosophila Genomics Resource Center (DGRC) at Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Web developer to join its team. The DGRC is a dynamic and heavily used repository for Drosophila genomic (DNA vectors and clones) and cell lines that serves researchers worldwide.

Job Summary
- Redesigns, implements and maintains the drosophila genomics resource center website.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
Required
- Experience with python programming and database concepts.
- Expertise in making the actual web pages, i.e. front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS) and web design.
- Experience with unix development.
- Experience with Flask Web Development.
- Experience with Postgresql or other relational database systems.
Required
- Ability to read and write code in Python, HTML, CSS, and JS.
- Understanding of web standards and user experience (UX) and experience with git or comparable version control software.
- Well organized.
- Detail-oriented
- Possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Works effectively with minimal supervision as part of a research team.
- Ability to read and write code in Perl, expertise in HTML, CSS, and JS.
- Expertise in user experience and design.
